Shooting Ranges
A Place to Shoot’s facility consists of the seven different ranges for handgun, rifle, and shotgun shooting as shown in the following photographs. To view a larger image of a range, click on the photograph’s title.

We offer:
Paper Targets - 7 to 100 yards; Pistol Steel Plates - 25 & 35 yards; Rifle Steel Plates to 400 yards;. Hand Cocking Clay Throwers on the Shotgun Trap Range.

 

 

Range 1: Law Enforcement Rental Range

This is the Law Enforcement rental range. This range is is used by both Law Enforcement and or Certified Instructors. It can be rented out during public hours for teaching Hunter Safety Classes, Basic Firearms Training, and Private Security Training.

Handguns, handgun caliberd rifles up to .44 magnum and shotguns (no slugs) can be shot on this range. No clays are allowed. This range is available by reservation only.

 

 

Range 2: Members Range

This is our Member Range, which is reserved for our yearly member-membership patrons.  All members pay a reduced rate fee for the year which gives them unlimited access to the range during public hours.

 

 

Range 3: Steel Plate Non-Magnum Handgun Range

This is a steel plate non-magnum handgun range only. No magnum handguns or rifles will be allowed on this range. Targets consist of reactive swinging steel plates at fifteen yards. No paper targets are allowed on this range. Shooting is done from a stationary firing line.

 

 

Range 4: Steel Plate Range from a fixed firing line

This is a steel plate range twenty-five and thirty-five yards in distance. Handguns, handgun calibrated rifles and shotguns can be shot on this range. Targets consist of reactive steel plates, no paper targets are allowed on this range. Shooting is done from a fixed firing line.

 

 

Range 5: Shotgun Trap Range

Eight trap machines are permanently mounted for public use.  Biodegradable type Clay pigeons are the only type pigeons allowed and can be purchased at the Check-In station if needed. The use of the machines are included in “All Day” entrance fee.

 

 

Range 6: Paper Target Handgun and
small caliber Rifle Range

This is a paper target handgun and small calibered rifle range. Paper targets can be setup from seven yards to fifty yards.  A Range Officer controls this range. He or she calls the range "clear", so people can go down range and setup targets. All shooting is done from a covered fixed firing line.

 

 

Range 7: High Power Rifle Range

This is a high power rifle range with paper targets available at fifty and one hundred yards.  Steel plates are setup from one hundred yards to five hundred yards for target shooting during inclement weather.  A Range Officer will call the range "clear" to allow shooter's down range to setup paper targets. All shooting is done from a covered line with benches and chairs to shoot from.
